Played in a local bar's (fatty's) poker tourney. Finished 2nd out of 40-50 players.
The guy that won hit flushes on the river twice to knock people out and caught a king on the river to knock me out.
Very lucky, and he was so drunk we had to count his chips for him every bet. Poker can me a cruel mistress.
But that's the way the cookie crumbles. He won a jack daniels humidor and I got a kick ass dickies JD shirt. Plus a JD teeshirt and a visor. So all in all its almost better I took second.
Although the winner gets to play in the finals (8 seats total) for a trip to vegas. But there are 7 more weeks to qualify so I'm still golden.
