Haircut time after quite awhile. A substitute hairstylist, Zia, cut my hair this time. Ebru is still in Turkey.

Dates, havarti cheese, fig & almond cake, and unsalted nuts, followed by the last of the hummus and a round of pita, and finally a bunch of green grapes.

I took Thursday and Friday off of work to hang out with Marcus who had taken the whole week off. We went into DC on Thursday and walked through the revamped National Aquarium and the Portrait Gallery. The National Aquarium is such a joke we knew that it would suck but still paid $5 to view the suckage. Afterwards we went to Larrys Lounge to meet up with Wesley and Jamie and have several beers and martinis.
Great fun was had by all and we walked up the street to have an 11pm snack at Amsterdam Falafel.

On Friday we just spent half the day in Clarendon and I took pics of a colorful bike, pretty flower, Marcus, and a bush beside Barnes & Noble.
We had lunch at Wilson Cafe and then a scoop of coconut and a scoop of choconanas gelato from Boccata Gelato.

Lunch at east west grill was falafel rolled in naan with letuce, tomato, onion, and hummus, and a samosa.

Having lunch at east west grill for the first time since living in clarendon. The power is out everywhere after a thunderstorm and I went for a walk.

A new gelato shop opened in Clarendon, Boccato Gelato. I stopped in to try it and had a small serving of chocolate hazelnut for $3.25. It was delicious and smooth and deserves to be called gelato well made. I also tried their pomegranate, which was tasty with a little strawberry and mint in it, and also something I'd never heard of, lukuma, which is apparently a south american fruit and tastes like butterscotch.

Boccato Gelato is between East West Grill and El Chaparral Meat Market on Wilson Blvd, across the street from Whole Foods.
